The College will offer daily (Monday – Friday) on-campus COVID-19 testing from Jan. 19 – Feb. 5 to help students, faculty and staff meet SUNY’s return-to-campus testing requirement for spring 2021, which applies to any student, faculty or staff member who plans to live, work or take classes on campus, or use campus facilities such as the gym, library or dining areas.
Students will not be able to attend any in-person classes or programming, or enter facilities such as the Athletic & Wellness Center, computer labs, academic buildings, Sojourner Truth Library and others, before they produce a negative test result through on-campus testing or submit a negative test result taken off campus.
If you choose to get tested off campus, only PCR test results will be accepted; rapid antigen tests are less accurate and do not meet SUNY’s screening requirements.
A list of testing sites in Ulster County can be found here. Please note that demand for testing in the community is very high and it may be difficult to find off-campus testing if you are asymptomatic and have no known exposure.

On-campus tests will be administered at Awosting Hall in the same location as during the fall 2020 semester. Testing will be administered using the pool testing method, and no appointment is necessary, unless otherwise noted.
Please create an account at http://register.suny-covid.com/ prior to appearing for testing. Be prepared to provide insurance information.
You will need to bring your New Paltz ID to the testing site. Please also be sure to bring your mobile device with you to be tested, as you will need to use it to scan the code and link your test to your account.
Also, to ensure accurate results, you must not eat, drink, smoke or vape within 30 minutes prior to your test, and must not brush teeth or use mouthwash within three hours prior to your test.
