Here’s everything you need to know about the Career Resource Center’s upcoming offerings for New Paltz students:

Alumna Michelle Fitzpatrick ’18 (Marketing; Management) ’19g (Business Administration)
Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2 p.m.

Fitzpatrick graduated last year from the College’s 4+1 MBA program. She’s now working as a Marketing Associate at Hale Advisors – she was offered a full-time position there after getting an internship at Hale through the SUNY New Paltz Career Fair in 2015. She’ll share with current New Paltz students her thoughts on the importance of going to every event on campus and putting yourself out there. She will also discuss how to apply what you learn in class to the real world.

Friday, Nov. 20, 2 p.m.

For this Friday art chat, we’ll get to know Stella Katz, New Paltz alumna and entrepreneur of her own sustainably- sourced clothing brand.


First Year Internship Program

Exclusively for the class of 2024!

First-year students (non-transfers) have the opportunity to gain valuable professional experience with SUNY New Paltz alumni in a variety of on-campus departments and offices during the spring 2021 semester. These are substantive, unpaid internships that that can be done remotely. Each offers clearly defined learning and skill-development goals, as well as guidance and support from dedicated alumni employees.

Applications will open in November and will be due by Monday, Nov. 30.

T. Howard Foundation paid internships for summer 2021

The T. Howard Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote diversity in media and entertainment by increasing the number of diverse and underrepresented groups and underserved communities within the industry.

All majors welcome, as positions are in the media/entertainment industry in a variety of positions. Some of the many majors they are seeking: communication/media, accounting, computer science, graphic design.

Registration Required for sessions on the following days:

Wednesday, Nov. 18, 12: 30 p.m.

Monday, Nov. 23, 12:30 p.m.


Fall 2020 Office and Drop-In Hours

The Career Resource Center is open this fall with all appointments and drop-in hours hosted virtually.

Students can use this link to schedule an appointment with one of the Center’s career professionals. Appointments are available Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
