Here’s everything you need to know about the Career Resource Center’s upcoming offerings for New Paltz students:


The Career Resource Center is live on Instagram!

Tuesday, Nov. 3 at 2 p.m.

Josh Lococo ’22 (Theatre Arts) from the Student Psychological Resilience Program will be discussing services and strategies to help you deal with increased levels of stress and anxiety.


First Year Internship Program

Exclusively for the class of 2024!

First-year students (non-transfers) have the opportunity to gain valuable professional experience with SUNY New Paltz alumni in a variety of on-campus departments and offices during the spring 2021 semester. These are substantive, unpaid internships that that can be done remotely. Each offers clearly defined learning and skill-development goals, as well as guidance and support from dedicated alumni employees.

Applications will open in November and will be due by Monday, Nov. 30.

T Howard Foundation paid internships for summer 2021

The T. Howard Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote diversity in media and entertainment by increasing the number of diverse and underrepresented groups and underserved communities within the industry.

All majors welcome, as positions are in the media/entertainment industry in a variety of positions. Some of the many majors they are seeking: communication/media, accounting, computer science, graphic design.

Virtual Job-Search Groups for Recent Grads and Graduating Seniors

Are you a recent grad or graduating soon? May 2020, August 2020 and December 2020, May 2021 grads, the CRC has added more virtual job-search group sessions! We will share resources, tips and guidance to upcoming graduates in a supportive virtual job-search group format.

The next Deciding on a Major and Career workshop is this week!

Friday, Nov. 6 at 3 p.m.

Do you need help figuring out what to major in? Have a major but are still somewhat undecided? Want to know more about your career options?

Start exploring these questions now and be ready in time for course registration.

The Career Resource Center will be holding Self-Directed Search Workshops for undecided students and those who have decided on a major/career but want to explore more options.

The assessment is free and all students are encouraged to join us for a few tips on Zoom after you take the assessment.


Fall 2020 Office and Drop-In Hours

The Career Resource Center is open this fall with all appointments and drop-in hours hosted virtually.

Students can use this link to schedule an appointment with one of the Center’s career professionals. Appointments are available Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
