Pandemic. Social injustice. Financial uncertainty. Now add a high-stakes presidential election.
In October 2020, being extra stressed out needs no explanation – we all have more to worry about than at any time in recent memory.
It’s more than just a hashtag – it’s a series of wellness programs, self-help suggestions, uplifting storytelling and other resources designed to hold a space for New Paltz students to process the stress of modern times.
The initiative launches next week on Wednesday, Oct. 21, and will run through Nov. 9. The schedule will focus on anxieties related to the 2020 election, with the goal of helping students and other community members cope with uncertainty, fear, anxiousness, alone-ness and just generally feeling unsettled.
