A reminder about Labor Day, Sept. 7, 2020

We want to remind all students and employees that Labor Day (Monday, Sept. 7, 2020) has been added to the academic calendar as an instructional day this fall.

All faculty scheduled to teach on that day are expected to provide instruction in the modality established for that course. Students are expected to attend classes.

Labor Day is a holiday for all non-teaching staff. Staff may, with approval from their supervisor, choose to work on Labor Day. Some employees may be deemed essential to work on that day. Employees asked to work or approved to work will earn a holiday compensatory day. Please be sure to communicate with your supervisor.

Administrative or academic offices may be closed due to staff choosing to observe the holiday. We ask offices to please update the office closings page if their office will be closed on Monday, Sept. 7.

Students and employees are strongly encouraged to check the office closings page before visiting offices for services.
