Networking Fair for Jobs & Internships: More than 65 employers coming to SUNY New Paltz March 6

Hiring managers and representatives from companies in a wide variety of professional fields will be on hand to meet with students and alumni of SUNY New Paltz on Wednesday, March 6, at the spring 2019 Networking Fair for Jobs & Internships.

The companies and organizations that have registered to be at the Fair represent a broad cross-section of industries, including education, social services, energy, graphic design, agriculture, military, insurance, information technology, marketing, engineering, and many more. New Paltz students and alumni of all majors are encouraged to come learn about career opportunities in the Hudson Valley, New York City and beyond.

The Networking Fair for Jobs & Internships will take place on Wednesday, March 6, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the Student Union Multipurpose Room. Use this link for a list of employers who are registered for the Fair.

To support those preparing to meet with employers, the Career Resource Center (CRC) will host its popular Resumania! event two days before the Fair, on Monday, March 4, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. in Humanities 105.

CRC staff and volunteers from local companies will be available to review résumés and offer feedback to help you stand out from the crowd. As always, students can get 10 free sheets of résumé paper to use for meetings with employers at the Networking Fair.

The Career Resource Center has also arranged for a professional photographer to be on campus to take professional portraits for LinkedIn and other professional platforms. Dress to make a positive first impression and stop by the Scholar’s Perch (second floor of the Atrium) between 12 – 3 p.m. during the Networking Fair on March 6.

No advance registration is necessary for the Networking Fair, Resumania! or the portrait shoot. Contact the Career Resource Center for more information at (845) 257-3265, email careers@newpaltz.edu, or Humanities 105.
