With AACSB reaccreditation, New Paltz School of Business remains at the top of the class

The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International) has extended its accreditation of the SUNY New Paltz School of Business.

Less than five percent of the world’s college and university programs in business – 799 institutions in 53 nations and territories – have met the high standards required to earn and maintain AACSB accreditation.

The School of Business at New Paltz first earned the distinction in 2013. This reaccreditation affirms the School’s ongoing commitment to improving and modernizing business programs to meet the needs of young professionals in the 21st century.

“Earning reaccreditation from AACSB demonstrates the excellence of our programs, faculty and students,” said Kristin Backhaus, dean of the School of Business. “The AACSB seal lets prospective students and employers know that the School of Business delivers a high quality education that meets the highest standards in the field.”

The reaccreditation process takes place over the course of years and is as rigorous as the initial accreditation, focusing on a program’s commitment to continuous growth and modernization.

“Every AACSB-accredited school has demonstrated a focus on excellence in all areas, including teaching, research, curricula development and student learning,” said Stephanie M. Bryant, executive vice president and chief accreditation officer of AACSB. “The intense peer-review process exemplifies their commitment to quality business education. AACSB congratulates each institution on their achievement.”
