Leading architecture and design magazine features Wooster Hall

Metropolis Magazine, a top publication telling stories of creative architecture and design, has published “Croxton Collaborative Architects Revives a Brutalist Building at SUNY New Paltz.”

The article details the Croxton Collaborative Architects’ decision to preserve the existing “structural bones” in their redesign of Wooster Hall, preserving some of the building’s original brutalist character while modernizing it in accordance with contemporary sensibilities.

This design choice has borne fruit for the campus community. Wooster Hall has been open for just over a year, but thanks in part to the open, sun-lit look and feel of the building, it has become a hub of activity for New Paltz students, faculty and staff.
