School of Business to host final spring session on new “Accelerated” MBA program

SUNY New Paltz will hold a free information session for students, alumni and community members to provide an overview of the new accelerated master of business administration degree (MBA) program on May 11 at 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. in van den Berg Hall room 310 on the New Paltz campus.

This upcoming session is the final of three information sessions that were held this spring semester.

“We’re really excited about the revisions to the MBA program,” said MBA director and alumnus Aaron Hines ’00 (Management) ’04g (Business Administration). “We believe that the updates will gain the attention of many prospective students and alumni from various academic backgrounds.”

The MBA info session will feature info on two major recent updates to the MBA program:

  • A new part-time online option, designed to provide scheduling flexibility and better accommodate students of all kinds; and
  • Newly streamlined course content, which modernizes the program while maintaining the high standards of quality that New Paltz’s AACSB-accredited School of Business is known for.

The result of these changes is an accelerated, flexible, affordable and personal MBA curriculum that can be completed in as little as 15 months, and is ideal for students with demanding lifestyles who desire online, night and weekend options.

Like the MBA program itself, the info sessions have been designed for current undergraduate students, at New Paltz and at other institutions, as well as working professionals and alumni interested in developing new aptitudes.

“This last session will include a little of everything: a full curriculum breakdown of the MBA, info on the admission requirements, help with the application process and a rundown of scholarship opportunities,” Hines said.

All community members are welcome to come learn about these subjects and meet business faculty teaching MBA courses.

Those planning to attend are asked to contact the School of Business at (845) 257-2968 or mba@newpaltz.edu. More information is available online.
