Dorsky Museum closes for construction, will reopen June 10

The Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art at SUNY New Paltz will be closed for renovations from May 24 – June 9 and again from July 31 – Aug. 29.

The renovations are to the HVAC system in the Dorsky’s East Wing galleries. They will ensure that the museum continues to provide high-quality climate control to protect and preserve the art on display.

Between June 10 and July 30, the museum’s Alice and Horace Chandler Galleries and North Gallery, will be open to the public, featuring the annual Hudson Valley Artists exhibition Undercurrents: The River as Metaphor. Use this link to learn more about that exhibition.

The exhibition Artists as Innovators: Celebrating Three Decades of New York Council on the Arts / New York Foundation for the Arts will be on display from Aug. 30 – Nov. 12.  Use this link to learn more.
