SUNY New Paltz has named the 40 alumni finalists for the first year of the 40 Under Forty awards recognition program. A celebration will be held to honor the award recipients on Friday, June 9, at Novellas in New Paltz.
The event will honor 40 alumni under the age of 40 who earned a SUNY New Paltz undergraduate, graduate, or certificate of advanced study degree. The finalists were chosen from a diverse pool of 139 nominees spanning a multitude of career fields including education, the arts, science, technology, medicine, media, government. Honorees are nominated by their peers and faculty members and are selected for their achievements in their careers and communities.
“Our alumni are showing the world that SUNY New Paltz graduates are ambitious, innovative, passionate and highly motivated leaders in their fields. They are making significant impact in their professional communities and we are very proud of their achievements,” said Shana Circe, director of alumni relations.
Finalists were determined by the College’s 40 Under Forty Awards Committee, composed of representatives from the College’s senior administration, alumni leadership, and faculty.
