SUNY New Paltz alumni will be welcomed back to campus for Alumni Weekend and Reunion with a variety of activities planned for Oct. 14-16, 2016.
“We want to encourage our alumni to reconnect with SUNY New Paltz,” said Stephen Posada ’12 (Spanish), assistant director for the Office of Alumni Relations at the College. “Reunion is a great way to re-ignite New Paltz pride and for alumni of all ages to return to campus and see the progress and changes that have occurred since they were last here.”
The weekend will consist of an Early Arrival Reception on Friday evening and various campus activities on Saturday, including the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) Reception, Lantern Ceremony for the class of 1968 and the All-Anniversaries Dinner.
As part of the festivities, the College will present its Heritage and Alumni Awards during the All-Class Heritage Luncheon. Last year’s Heritage Award recipients were Onika Jervis ’93 ’05g (Biology, Educational Administration) and Emeritus Professor of Art History Dr. William B. Rhoads. The Distinguished Service Alumni Award was presented to Amber Greene ’03 (Public Relations).
More activities will be added soon, alumni interested in attending can check the Alumni Relations website for more information.
