At the Sept. 11 meeting of SUNY New Paltz faculty, the recipients of the 2015 SUNY Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence and the SUNY New Paltz Provost’s Awards were recognized for their achievements before an audience of their peers.

“Each year the State University of New York selects a small number of individuals from among its 64 campuses, and honors them with the Chancellor’s Awards,” said President Donald P. Christian. “This is a system-wide honor to acknowledge and recognize consistently superior professional achievement, and to encourage the ongoing pursuit of excellence.”
2015 SUNY Chancellor’s Award recipients:
Kevin Caskey (Professor, School of Business) – Excellence in Faculty Service
James DeArce ‘00g (Adjunct Faculty, Department of Sociology) – Excellence in Adjunct Teaching
John Rayburn (Associate Professor, Department of Geology) – Excellence in Teaching
Steven Rider, Sr. (Motor Equipment Mechanic, Facilities Maintenance) – Excellence in Classified Service
Timothy Roberson ‘03 (Web Application Programmer, Computer Services) – Excellence
Louis Roper (Professor, Department of History) – Excellence in Scholarship & Creative Activities
Patricia Sullivan (Director, Honors Program) – Excellence in Professional Service
2015 Provost’s Award for Faculty Excellence recipients:
