NEW PALTZ – On Thursday, Oct. 3 the State University of New York at New Paltz’s School of Business was presented with a check in the amount of $1,000 on behalf of Empire State Bank Charitable Trust to support the School’s Hall of Fame Ceremony.

“We greatly appreciate the generous donation from Empire State Bank Charitable Trust,” said Chih-Yang Tsai, interim dean of the School of Business.

The School of Business recognizes achievements of its alumni and students, as well as notable business people. Toward this end, the Hall of Fame was established in 2001 to acknowledge the accomplishments of those who have made significant contributions to their respective business professions. The School encourages nominations of those individuals who have made an impact on the educational activities of the School of Business.

“We are pleased to be able to assist the School of Business which, we believe, is one of best assets the businesses and communities we serve could ever wish for,” said Anthony P. Costa, chairman & CEO of Empire State Bank. Costa is a long-time supporter of SUNY New Paltz and a member of the SUNY New Paltz Foundation Board, which raises, collects, and administers private support for the campus.
