SUNY New Paltz School of Business to host annual business plan contest

NEW PALTZ – The School of Business at the State University of New York at New Paltz and Campus Auxiliary Services, Inc. will hold the annual business plan contest presentation and award ceremony on Wednesday, May 9 in the Student Union Building (rooms 62/63) on campus.

The nine teams of students will present their business plans before a panel of judges from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 12:45 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. The award ceremony will begin at 3:15 p.m.

The business plan contest gives students an opportunity to test their knowledge in real business settings by researching and developing an idea and turning it into a practical and profitable business plan. The contest combines the excitement of competition with practical learning. Students who participate improve their skills and gain confidence in their abilities.
