New Paltz American Marketing Association Hosts Annual Business Day Conference

NEW PALTZ – On Wednesday, October 26, 2011 the State University of New York at New Paltz student chapter of the American Marketing Association will host its 16th Annual Business Day Conference.

The conference, which aims to develop the participants’ knowledge and skills to give them a competitive advantage, attracts over 130 students from New Paltz and surrounding colleges, as well as local and regional business leaders.

The theme for this year’s Conference is “Believe It, Achieve It, Tweet It” and will feature Forrest Leighton, Director of Product Marketing of Canon, U.S.A. and a New Paltz alumnus, as the keynote speaker.

Workshops on topics such as, how to brand yourself, how to brand a client, non-profit marketing, negotiation, multicultural markets and the evolution of media market research, will be offered.

The Conference will begin in van den Berg Hall on the New Paltz campus with registration from 10:30-11:30; workshops from 11:45-12:30; lunch catered by the Village Tea Room from 12:45-1:15 in the Lecture Center; and the keynote address from 1:15-2:15. Two workshops sessions will follow in van den Berg Hall from 2:30-4:30pm.
