15th Annual Business Day Conference

NEW PALTZ – The State University of New York at New Paltz’s 15th Annual Business Day Conference, hosted by the American Marketing Association and the School of Business, will be held on Friday, October 15 on campus. The conference, which aims to develop the participants’ knowledge and skills to give them a competitive advantage, attracts over 100 students from New Paltz and surrounding colleges, as well as local and regional business leaders.

This exciting program provides valuable networking opportunities. The conference includes a resume review, a keynote address and educational workshops. The keynote speaker, Jack Sims, is the founder and the CEO of The Brand Store, one of the most successful marketing agencies in the United States. His company has created successful marketing campaigns for Burger King, Polaroid, British Airways, Nestle, General Electric and Lever, among others.

Workshops on entrepreneurship, negotiations, personal financial investment, presentation skills, building an authentic brand, developing communications, advertising and strategy media will be offered.

The conference will begin in the Student Union with registration and resume review from 11-11:30 a.m.; lunch from 11:30 a.m.-12:10 p.m.; and the keynote address from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Three workshop sessions will follow in van den Berg Hall from 1:40-5:00 p.m.
