The SUNY New Paltz swimming team finished the third and final day at the ECAC Championships with a third place finish. The women’s team finished third and the men’s team finished fourth.
The team of Yuka Suzuka, Becky Baker, Allison Wells and Marissa Morris finished second with a time of 4:04.96 in the 200 Yard Medley Relay. Jessica Lester and Morris finished fourth and fifth in the 500 Yard Freestyle. Lester touched in at 5:13.13 and Morris touched in at 5:13. 65. In the 50 Yard Freestyle, Baker and Wells finished seventh and eighth. Baker touched in at 25.73 and Wells was just .01 behind Baker at 25.74.
On the men’s side, the team of Jesse Sweeney, Steve Cozzolongo, Billy Papetti and Rob Webb finished fourth with a time of 3:36.89 in the 400 Yard Medley Relay. Pete Nastasi finished fifth with a time of 4:48.07 in the 500 Yard Freestyle and Papetti finished fifth with a time of 21.91 in the 50 Yard Freestyle.
