FREDONIA, NY- Senior men’s swimmer Steve Cozzolongo (Burlington, CT/Lewis Mills) has been selected as the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Player-of-the-Week for men’s swimming.
Cozzolongo and the Hawks competed at the ECAC Championships on December 4-6. Cozzolongo finished sixth overall in points scored at the championships and scored the most points out of any SUNYAC men’s swimmer (105) at the championships.
He won the 100 Yard Backstroke in a time of 52.77 and is an NCAA consideration. He was second in the 100 Yard Butterfly with a time of 52.84 and part of the relay team that finished fourth in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, 200 Yard Medley Relay and the 400 Yard Medley Relay.
