Women’s Volleyball Picks up Two Wins; 18 Straight Wins

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY-The SUNY New Paltz women’s volleyball team have won 18 straight games after defeating Ramapo and Montclair State in straight sets tonight in the Skidmore Tournament.

In the first game, the Hawks defeated Ramapo by the scores of 25-8, 25-15, 25-14. Stephanie Bova helped lead the attack with 20 assists and Dana Kindelmann had five kills, while Alison Kiernan chipped in with four. Loren Crabbe led the defense with nine digs and had four aces.

In the second game, the Hawks continued their success with a victory over Montclair State by the scores of 25-11, 25-11, 25-17. Tara Annunziata had a team-high nine kills and Bova handed out 15 assists.

The Hawks improve to 28-5 overall and finish up the Skidmore Tournament tomorrow at 2 p.m. against Union and 4 p.m. against Skidmore.
