The SUNY New Paltz swimming team competed today at the Union Relays. The women’s team finished third with 96 points and the men finished fourth with 76 points.
On the women’s side, the team of Marissa Morris, Katina Lown, Yuka Suzuka and Allison Wells finished third with a time of 4:13.21 in the 400 medley relay. Suzuka, Morris and Jessica Lester finished won the 300 backstroke relay with a time of 3:06.51 and Wells, Suzuka and Kate Genovese won the 300 butterfly relay with a time of 3:13.19. Lown, Morris, Wells and Lester won the 500 Freestyle Crescendo Relay with a time of 4:49.92 and Melinda Pullen, Lizzie Lodinsky and Lauren Doolittle won the 600 IM Relay with a time of 6:53.49.
On the men’s side, the team of Jesse Sweeney, Rob Webb, Steve Cozzolongo and Corey Lomas finished third in the 400 medley relay with a time of 4:44.62 and Webb, Pat Rathbun and Keith MacDonald finished second in the 300 Breaststroke with a time of 3:14.95. Dan Beshoar, Brian McGuiness, Alex Brown and Johnson Knox won the 500 Freestyle Crescendo Relay with a time of 4:16.37.
