New Paltz Named Top Outdoor Hub

"There’s a reason antsy New Yorkers can’t get enough of this Hudson Valley town: first-rate rock-climbing (and hiking and mountain biking) in the Shawangunk Mountains, an 11-stop wine trail, and a decidedly un-Hamptons vibe."

After a visit to New Paltz this fall, it will be clear why we were recently named one of America’s 100 Best Adventure Towns by National Geographic Adventure.

Although New Paltz tends to attract adventuresome types, we also have many other activities during the fall season. As you make your way to our campus, enjoy the vibrant red, yellow and orange hues of the leaves, pick-your-own apple orchards and pumpkin patches, and stroll the streets of our dynamic college town.

There’s no better time to learn about our academic programs and opportunities, student services, admission, financial aid, residence life, athletics, recreation and our beautiful location.
