Joe Ehrmann Speaks to SUNY New Paltz Staff and Student-Athletes

NEW PALTZ, NY- Friday, August 28 at 7 p.m., Joe Ehrmann will speak to the SUNY New Paltz Staff and student-athletes in Lecture Hall 100.

A graduate of Syracuse University, Joe Ehrmann was an All-American defensive lineman football player and lacrosse player.  Named to Syracuse’s All-Century Football Team, Ehrmann received the University’s most distinguished alumni honor for his contributions to society.

Joe and his wife, Paula, are the co-founders of Baltimore’s Ronald McDonald House, The Door, and currently Building Men and Women for Others.  Joe has spent over 25 years as a professional speaker, educator, trainer and coach.  The mission of Joe’s “Coach in America, Winning in Life is Everything” is to “inform, inspire and initiate individual, communal and societal change that will empower men and women to be their very best – personally, professionally and relationally.”

Joe’s life experience as a coach, elite athlete and educator helped design and implement a life coaching program that is radically different from traditional coaching models.  Joe will present practical techniques and strategies to our coaches and student-athletes with the skills needed to achieve personal and professional goals, improve relationships and increase productivity. 

The tenth overall pick in the 1973 draft by the Baltimore Colts, Joe played 13 seasons in the National Football League and won numerous awards throughout his playing career. He was selected as the Colts “Man of the Year” and the very first “Ed Block Courage Award Winner.”
