“Dealing with Difficult People in the Workplace” Workshop

Professionals and students are invited to attend the annual Joint Chapter Meeting being held between the SUNY New Paltz Management Association (MA) and the Mid-Hudson Human Resources Association (MHHRA) on Thursday, October 8th at the College Terrace of SUNY New Paltz. The evening begins with networking and registration at 5:15pm, followed by dinner at 6:00pm and a workshop entitled “Dealing with Difficult People in the Workplace”.

Students and professionals will practice the skills and strategies needed to deal with difficult people by identifying the seven major types of difficult behavior, mastering a step-by-step guide for coping, and regaining control and reducing the stress in your life so that you are able to work more effectively and constructively with others in the workplace. Judith Rosner and Donna Bell, partners in The Rosner Group, Inc., will present the workshop. The event will also include networking with professionals and door prizes.

The Management Association is the SUNY New Paltz student chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and MHHRA is its SHRM parent professional chapter.

To register, please contact Professor Kristin Backhaus, MA Advisor, at backhauk@newpaltz.edu or (845) 257-2972. There is a $20 fee for students and $30 fee for professionals. Please RSVP by September 29.
