NEW PALTZ, NY- The SUNY New Paltz women’s swimming team has added to their successful season with four swimmers earning the College Swimming Coaches Assoication of America (CSCAA) Scholar Award.
To be selected to the All-American team, swimmers must qualify for the NCAA Championship and achieve a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Honorable Mention selections must achieve a NCAA consideration time and achieve a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Sophomore Marissa Morris (Toms River, NJ) was named a CSCAA Scholar All-American team and senior Erica Ellis (Barneveld, NY), senior Joelle Hopf (Vestal, NY) and sophomore Jessica Lester (Long Beach, NY) were named to the Honorable Mention CSCAA Scholar All-American team.
The four women helped the SUNY New Paltz women’s swimming team finish in a tie for 16th place in the nation among all Division III swimming teams in GPA.
