NEW PALTZ – Social psychologist Shalom Schwartz will give a presentation, titled “Personal Values and Socially Significant Behavior,” in the Coykendall Science Building Auditorium at the State University of New York at New Paltz at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 16.
Schwartz, professor emeritus of psychology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, is a premier voice on the topic of cross-cultural social psychology. His talk will address the nature and functions of personal values across cultures.
Schwartz is affiliated with such organizations as the American Psychological Foundation; the American Sociological Foundation; the European Association of Experimental Social Psychology; the Israel Psychological Association; the Society for Experimental Social Psychology; and the Society for Personality and Social Psychology.
