The men’s volleyball team traveled to Queens, NY to compete in the York Tournament. The Hawks went 2-0 on Friday with wins against King College and Stevenson. New Paltz came back to win 3-2 against King after trailing two sets to zero; game scores were 28-30, 25-30, 30-20, 31-29, 15-12. The Hawks swept Stevenson 3-0 (31-29, 30-20, 30-27).
On Saturday, New Paltz defeated SUNYIT 3-0 (30-11, 30-27, 30-28) and defeated Quincy 3-2 (30-22, 26-30, 22-30, 30-21, 15-13).
Senior Ryan Huberty was named MVP of the tournament.
