Women’s basketball receiving National Recognition

NEW PALTZ, NY- The SUNY New Paltz women’s basketball team is receiving national recognition based on the teams and individual statistics according to D3Hoops.com.

The Hawks are currently ranked 33rd in the nation in scoring offense at 74.1 points per game and are 44th in scoring margin at 13.8 points. The Hawks also rank tenth with 15 steals per game and sixth in turnover margin with 9.08 per game.

They are ranked 29th in assists per game with 16.6 and are led by Nicole Sarcone (Staten Island, NY) with 5.4 assists per game, which is 20th in the nation and she is ranked 49th in Assist Turnover Ratio with 1.71.

The Hawks stand at 10-4 overall and 6-1 in the SUNYAC Conference. They return to the court January 28 against Staten Island in the Sports and Recreation Center on the campus of the College of Staten Island.
