The men’s volleyball team hosted Polytechnic Friday night and swept the Fighting Blue Jays 3-0 (30-19, 30-12, 30-16). With the win the Hawks improve to 3-3 on the season.
Junior Daniel Liberto paced the attack with 14 kills and zero errors on 19 attempts for a game high .737 hitting percentage. Senior Jake Moore added 11 kills and seven digs. Senior Mark Blair and first year Kevin Stross each finished with seven kills, with Stross adding four blocks. Sophomore Andrew Cassius dished out 33 kills and eight digs.
Polytechnic was led by Robert Petri with 14 kills and Jay Kown handed out 21 assists.
New Paltz will return to action on Wednesday February 4th when they host Bard at 7pm.
