The Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference announced the 2008 All-Star teams and senior Lauren Motzkin earned first team Upstate All-Region honors to add to her list of accolades. Motzkin was one of eleven players selected to the upstate all-region team and was recognized as the utility player. In the 2008 season, she started all 43 games behind the plate or in the outfield and led the team in hits (58), doubles (15), and stolen bases (13-13). Motzkin hit .397 on the season and posted a .992 fielding percentage.
In addition to ECAC All-region, Motzkin has been honored as a third team all-american, first team North East All-region and first team All-SUNYAC. She completed her career with a .359 average, 171 hits, 98 runs, 86 RBI and 34 steals.
