Women’s Tennis Eliminated from NCAA Tournament by St. Lawrence

The women’s tennis team was eliminated from the NCAA Tournament this morning after a 5-0 first round loss to St. Lawrence. The Saints swept the doubles competition and due to NCAA matches being played to decision, entered singles play needing two victories to wrap up the victory.
Junior Dana Lim and senior Eri Yamakawa fought a tough battle at number one doubles and lost a 9-7 decision. The match was decided as the Saints won number three and four singles. First and second singles were halted at one set each and St. Lawrence led at number five 4-1 at the conclusion of the match.
New Paltz completes the 2007-08 season 9-10 in dual matches.
