American Marketing Association Held its 12th Annual Business Day Conference

NEW PALTZ — The American Marketing Association (AMA) held its 12th annual Student Business Day Conference in April 2008. The conference attracted over 125 students from New Paltz, as well as surrounding community colleges. In addition, ever year, a large number of business alumni, faculty and business executives attend the conference. The conference began with a resume review workshop, followed by nine workshops which covered topics such as entrepreneurship, sports marketing, and production coordination. The keynote speaker this year was Lindsey Pollack, an independent consultant associated with Negotiating Women. Author of "Getting from College to Career: 90 Things to Do Before You Join the Real World," Lindsey is a frequent speaker for college campuses around the country.

Overall this year the conference was a great success with the American Marketing Association being congratulated by not only the business school of SUNY New Paltz, but also the business community.
