Sarcone and Williams Earn All-Conference Honors; Williams Tabbed Rookie of the Year

NEW PALTZ, NY — The SUNYAC announced the All-Conference team for women’s basketball and New Paltz had two players recognized. First year forward Artie Williams was named to the second team and was named the rookie of the year. In the conference, Williams averaged 12 points and 7.3 rebounds in 20 minutes of play per contest. On the season, she shot 51.2% from the floor averaging 12.8 points and 8.2 boards.
Sophomore point guard Nicole Sarcone was selected to the honorable mention team. Sarcone handed out 145 assists on the season, starting all 27 games and playing 29 minutes per outing. In conference she netted 5.3 points and 4.4 assists per game.
