The SUNY New Paltz women’s swim team completed the second day of Nationals. Michelle Coombs claimed her second All-American honor with a third place finish in the 100 backstroke, touching in 57.20. Coombs teamed with Becky Baker, Erica Ellis and Christine Reith in the 200 medley relay for a 14th place finish in 1:48.26 to earn honorable mention All-America status. Baker competed in the 100 breast and finished 28th in the prelims in 1:10.25.
Nationals will concluded on Saturday with Coombs trying to defend her national title in the 100 free and the quartet competing in the 400 free relay.
