The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the Fall 2007 academic awards for cross country. The criteria for team awards are scoring at the NCAA regional meet and having a 3.10 combined grade point average. The SUNY New Paltz women’s cross country team was recognized fifth out of 145 teams (390 Division III institutions participate) with a team GPA of 3.63. The men’s team was one of 99 schools recognized (379 Division III institutions participate) with a team GPA of 3.24 to rank #63.
