Sojourner Truth Library to host annual Fall Used Book Sale

NEW PALTZ — The Friends of the Sojourner Truth Library will host the annual Fall Used Book Sale from Dec. 3 through Dec. 14 in the Sojourner Truth Library on the SUNY New Paltz campus.

The first day of the sale, Monday, Dec. 3, from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m., will be a special preview during which the largest number of books will be available. A selection of premium books, CDs and videos will also be available at this time. Hard covers will sell for $3, soft covers for $2 and paperbacks for $1. Please note that doors will not open before 8:30 a.m.

The regular book sale resumes on Tuesday, Dec. 4, during regular library hours, at which time hard covers will be priced at $1 and paperbacks at 50 cents. More than 5,000 books will be available during the sale, covering all subjects. Each day additional books will be added to the sale. All books sold have been donated to the Friends of the Library “Books for Books” program by college faculty, staff, students, alumni and community members. All proceeds benefit the college library.

Regular library hours are: Monday – Thursday, 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.; Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 9 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. –9 p.m.; and Sunday, 1 p.m. – 11:30 p.m. Directions to the campus and a campus map can be found at www.newpaltz.edu/about/directions.html.
