NEW PALTZ, NY — The men’s and women’s cross country teams competed at the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Championships. The women finished seventh with a team total of 184 points.
First year Danielle Harmon lead the way for the Hawks with a time of 25:14. Stephanie Albinski and Lisa Cassaro ran a tight race and crossed the line in 25:34 and 25:35, respectively. Olga Stulov and Rebecca Shuriff rounded out the scoring five in 26:21 and 28:43. The top seven finished with Christie Carlstrom and Erin Lavin.
The New Paltz men’s team finished with a team total of 289 points for a 10th place in the 8K race. Nick Avello led the Hawks with a time of 28:58. Robert Grazier was 20 seconds behind in 29:18. Alex Colucci (29:45), Tim Ivancic (30:53), Daniel Caruso (31:45) finished off the scoring five.
