2007 Tennis Recap

NEW PALTZ, NY — In 2007, the team finished the dual match season with a record of 7-3 and capped their campaign by winning the SUNYAC Championship. New Paltz claimed three individual titles and won all three doubles.
Junior Dana Lim won the first singles title for the second consecutive year and teamed with senior Eri Yamakawa at first doubles. Lim finished with season with a record of 12-1 at first singles and the duo posted a 9-4 record in doubles.
Sophomores Liz Beirne and Lyndsey Lovinger won SUNYAC titles at third and fourth singles, respectively. Beirne posted a 10-2 record at third and Lovinger finished 7-2 at fourth. In doubles, the pair teamed up for an 11-1 record.
Lindsay Trifiletti reached the SUNYAC finals at fifth singles and team with Stephanie Schara to win third doubles. Trifiletti went 8-4 at fifth singles and in doubles the duo went 7-2. Sophomore Kerri Serkes advanced to the SUNYAC finals at sixth singles and finished the season with an 8-3 record. For their efforts Lim, Yamakawa, Beirne, Lovinger, Trifiletti, and Schara were named first team All-SUNYAC, while Serkes garnered second team honors.
