Hawks Finish Pool Play 4-1

ONEONTA, NY — The women’s volleyball team continued SUNYAC Pool Play today with a 10am match-up against rival Cortland. The Hawks fell to the Red Dragon 3-0 (30-24, 30-28, 30-25). Brittany Coyle finished with 11 kills and three blocks. Senior setter Katie Becofsky dished out 28 assists and 20 digs and Nicole Mercadante totaled 18 digs.
The Hawk defeated Potsdam 3-1 (30-26, 32-34, 30-24, 30-26). Coyle led the attack with 16 kills and junior Samantha Prudente finished with 13 kill and 26 digs. Becofsky handed out 54 assists and totaled seven kills and 18 digs.
New Paltz ended their day with a 3-0 win over SUNYIT (30-19, 30-13, 30-14). Senior Lindsey Brown hit .900% with nine kills on 10 attempts. Kelsey Noble finished with 10 digs and Stephanie Bova dished out 20 assists, hit a perfect six for six and collected seven digs.
The Hawks advance to 15-3 on the season, 4-1 in SUNYAC and travel to Vassar on Wednesday for a non-conference match-up at 7pm.
