Athletic Department Calls for Carol Eckman Society Nominations

NEW PALTZ, NY —
The Carol Eckman Society was established in 2002 to recognize the accomplishments, both athletically and professionally, of former female student-athletes. The Society is named for former Assistant Professor of Physical Education and Coach of basketball, softball, tennis, and field hockey at New Paltz from 1962 until 1967, Carol A. Eckman. The Carol Eckman Award is presented annually to female New Paltz alumnae who exemplify Eckman’s spirit, integrity, honesty, ethical behavior, courage and dedication to purpose.

Nominations for the next induction are due by November 30th. The ceremony will be held on Saturday, March 29th, 2008 at 7:00 p.m.
