NEW PALTZ, NY — Junior Amber Sohns was named the 2006-07 MVP after guiding her team to a record breaking year. The Hawks complied a 17-11 overall record and a 10-6 record in conference play, setting the school record for wins in both categories. The Hawks earned their highest postseason berth to the SUNYAC tournament as the fourth seed, where they defeated Geneseo in the quarterfinals on a miracle comeback, before being eliminated by the Cortland Red Dragons in the semifinals. Sohns earned All-SUNYAC honorable mention averaging 8.7 points per game and 4.6 rebounds per outing.
