The SUNY New Paltz Hawks finished seventh at the March Mania Tournament. The Hawks faced Rivier in the first match of the day and lost 3-1 (31-29, 28-30, 30-25, 30-22). First year, middle hitter led the attack with 13 kills. Ryan Huberty finished with nine kills and Mark Blair chipped in with eight kills. Sophomore Matt Weingarten dished out 51 assists and Pedro Medina collected 11 digs.
In the second match of the day the Hawks defeated Ramapo 3-2(30-27, 30-20, 25-30, 25-30, 15-13).
Holden earned all-tournament honorable mention for his weekend performance. SUNY New Paltz returns to action on Thursday March 8 when they travel to Yeshiva to face the Macabees.
