NEW PALTZ, NY — As of March 6th, SUNY New Paltz has four players ranked amoung the national statistics leaders by the NCAA for Division III men’s volleyball. New Paltz is currently in second place in the Metro NECVA Division with a 7-2 record and stands at 15-6 overall.
Senior middle hitter Joshua Spiro is ranked second in hitting percentage with a .478% and 14th in blockiing averaging 1.20 per game. First year Christopher Holden is ranked third in blocks with 1.55 and 12th in hitting percentage with .386%. Junior libero Pedro Medina stands eighth in digs with 3.63 per game and sophomore setter Matt Weingarten is ranked 13th in assists, handing out 10.78 per game.
