NEW PALTZ, NY — The 2006 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Collegiate National Academic Squad and National Academic Team have been announced. The National Academic Squad program recognizes those collegiate student-athletes who have achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.30 through the first semester of the 2006-07 academic year. SUNY New Paltz had five members named to the squad, including Marissa Costello, Kristen Donnelly, Meghan Flynn, Elizabeth May and Heather McCoy. The SUNY New Paltz Field Hockey Team earned the National Academic Team Award which recognizes those institutions that achieve a minimum GPA of 3.0.
