NEW PALTZ, NY — The official psyche sheets for the NCAA Division III women’s swimming championships have been released. The Championships will begin on March 8th at the University of Houston Rec Center.
Senior Michelle Coombs is seeded in the 100 back, 100 free and 50 free. She is seeded second in the 100 back with a time of 56.56. Amherst’s Brittany Sasser is the defending champion in the event and is seeded first with a time of 55.61. Coombs is seeded third in the 100 freestyle with a split of 51.47 behind the first and second seeds of 51.43 and 51.44, respectively. In the 50 free, Coombs is third (23.72) behind the top split of 23.63 and the second split of 23.67.
The 200 medley relay of Coombs, Laura Lipp, Erica Ellis and Ashley Williamson are seeded fourth with a time of 1:47.75. The top seed in the event is a team from Kenyon with a split of 1:45.80. The relay team will also participate in the 200 free relay (14th – 1:38.55), the 400 medley relay (17th – 3:59.38) and the 400 free relay (17th – 3:37.34).
