NEW PALTZ, NY — Senior John Hauser was named to the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Third Team. He became the first honoree for SUNY New Paltz in the program’s history. Hauser carries a 3.83 grade point average with a double major in Accounting and Finance. Following graduation in May, he will be working for Ernst and Young Accounting Firm.
Hauser has been a staple on the Hawks starting line up for four seasons. He started a possible 94 of 99 games and eclipsed the 1,000 career point mark on Dec. 31, 2006 and finished his career with 1,299 points and 551 rebounds. His career best was 31 points scored again SUNYIT on Jan. 19, 2007.
