NEW PALTZ, NY — First year middle hitter, Christopher Holden (Stony Brook/Ward Melville) was named the North Eastern College Volleyball Association (NECVA) Rookie of the Week. This is the first honor of the 2007 year and included all games played through Feb. 4th. Holden has led the Hawks to a 5-1 record overall and 3-1 in the Metro Division. He has tallied 63 kills on 101 attempts for a .465 hitting percentage and has collected 31 blocks.
