Women’s Basketball Falls to Golden Eagles

BROCKPORT, NY — The SUNY New Paltz women’s basketball traveled to Brockport this afternoon to take on the Golden Eagles and lost their second SUNYAC contest 75-63. Brockport led 44-28 at the intermission and by as many as 23 in the second half. New Paltz cut the lead to 12 with one minute remaining but could come no closer.
First year Maggie Farrell scored a career high 16 points and Carly Minehan chipped in with 11 points and 13 boards. Senior Kerri Kelty finished with eight points and Nicole Sarcone added seven points.
The Hawks fall to 12-5 on the season and 7-2 in conference play. SUNY New Paltz returns to action on Tuesday Jan. 30th when they host the Cortland Red Dragons at 6 pm.
