Men’s Basketball Claims 81-71 Win Over Bethany

BETHANY, CA — The SUNY New Paltz men’s basketball team traveled to California over the semester intersession and took on the Bethany Bruins Wednesday night. The Hawks came away with an 81-71 victory behind the 30 point performance of Amseshem Foluke-Henderson.
Foluke-Henderson was 15 of 18 from the floor, grabbed seven boards and tallied seven steals. Tony Cannon added 16 points, 13 rebounds and dished out six assists. Senior John Hauser finished with 10 points, seven boards and Matt Hauser chipped in with nine points for the Hawks. New Paltz shot 48.5% from the field compared to Bethany’s 39.5% to overcome the 42-41 halftime score.
The Hawks will return to action on Dec. 31st when they travel to Hawaii to take on Chaminade University.
