Hawks Fall to Bengals 76-71

NEW PALTZ, NY — Amseshem Foluke-Henderson totaled his second double-double of the weekend with a 30 point, 13 rebound performance in a 76-71 loss to Buffalo State. The Hawks drop to 3-2 overall and 1-1 in conference play.
Senior John Hauser and junior Tony Cannon each chipped in with 14 points and five boards each. Matt Irwin added six points and dished out five assists.
Buffalo State led for the majority of the opening half, taking a 39-35 advantage into halftime. The Hawks came out strong in the second half, and the teams traded leads until the Bengals took the lead for good at 62-61 with 6:35 remaining and held New Paltz off down the stretch.
The Hawks travel to Utica on December 5th, to take on the SUNYIT Wildcats in a conference match-up at 8 p.m.
